The Arabic text
The Quranic text is the Tanzil Uthmani 1.1 edition from Tanzil.net, a carefully verified digital Uthmani text used by many Quran applications. No verse on this site is typed by hand: every page renders it from one data file extracted from the Quran Majeed project’s database, which itself enforces the counts of the whole mushaf (6,236 verses, 114 surahs) before it will build.
At extraction, all 30 verses were compared letter by letter against an independent copy of the Tanzil text (from the alquran.cloud API): every letter and vowel mark matched. The only differences were two kinds of optional reading aids that this edition does not print: the pause signs (waqf marks) and the small mīm placed on some tanwīn to show its pronunciation. On every build, the site recomputes a fingerprint of the Arabic and refuses to publish if a single character has changed:

Recitation
Verse-by-verse recordings of 39 reciters are streamed from EveryAyah.com. Each verse is its own file, which is why the player can highlight exactly the verse being recited, repeat it, or start from any verse.
Hadith references
Every narration on the virtues page is given with its collection, number and the gradings of named scholars, and was checked on 2026-10-20 against sunnah.com and the cited works. Weak narrations are kept on a separate list and labelled weak. The English renderings of hadith are this site’s own, made directly from the Arabic printed beside them.
Privacy
No accounts and no advertising. Bookmarks, your reading position, your memorisation progress and your display settings are stored in your own browser and never sent anywhere. Audio is requested from EveryAyah when you press play.
To learn which features are used, the site uses Google Analytics through Firebase, which sets first-party cookies and records anonymous usage: pages viewed, and events such as pressing play or changing reciter. IP addresses are anonymised, advertising and personalisation features are switched off, nothing you bookmark or memorise is reported, and analytics does not run at all if your browser sends “Do Not Track”.
Corrections
